Thor Travel Altar | Ritual Kit
How many prayed to Þórr (Thor) for safe travels, for calm seas, to just “get there” in the midst of the ocean’s vastness.
The waves threaten to overcome me, and I am doubting the strength of my boat. I haven’t seen the sun for days. My compass is the sunstone in the pouch to my side, my hand quietly checking and rechecking that it’s there between the assaults of the water and spray hitting my face. The salt blinding me. Þórr, calm the seas! My mind reaches out, hoping to hear something back, hoping to see land or a safe place…. Lightning cracks, thunder slams against my eardrums… within minutes the storm settles, and a tiny peek of blue sky emerges. Could this be real? My mind doubts. I pull the sunstone out of my pocket and scan for where Sol sits….. and just below him I see a tiny point of land, with oak trees just above the ridgeline.
Leiðfinnr… I whisper… “one who finds the way”.
Useful for when you need assistance getting through the tough times in life, where the waves threaten to capsize your boat and when you’re desperately looking for the light in your sunstone, looking for direction. Use for connection to and invoking Thor to help your cause.

For placing your items in, and for putting your items onto. Custom bindrune for Freyja. Bold, thickened lines. This is meant to be her staff, one of the most important symbols surrounding the work of the Volva.

Designed to be extremely private & minimalistic - and enough free space for you to adorn Freyja. She has on her the Brisingamen necklace, and representations of her cats that pull her chariot.

Naturally harvested oak leaves, and acorn caps, dried yarrow flowers, 2 pieces of Sunstone (used as a compass to find the sun and mark the way during seafaring expeditions), and a piece of harvested mistletoe OR grape leaves (watch your fingers, these one bite along it’s edges!) Oak is the tree of Thor, and Yarrow his herb as it is found associated with him in the sources. We invite you to research and add your own items to this altar as you refill it with items you feel also associate with him!

Custom blended oil with hammered metal runic inscription: “ Leiðþorn - ᛚᛖᛁᚦᛟᚱᚾ - meaning (Path-Thorn or Path-Þórr) – combining leið (path, course, way) with þorn (thorn). The intent is that this is an oil that can help you connect with the energy of Thor, in both clearing obstacles, or helping mark your way. DO NOT INGEST

While not a part of norse sources, this ritual salt is amazing for protection circles or consecrating altar space/tools. DO NOT INGEST
3 Juniper Incense Blocks
Juniper is the natural smoked woods that our Norse ancestors used. Break in half, and use on your mini-incense plate. PLATE WILL GET HOT - never leave any items unattended!
